What is AI visibility (GEO)?

AI visibility, or GEO, is how present your brand is in the answers of assistants like ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude. ConverZAP’s module asks the questions your customers would ask, through the APIs and with web search, measures how many answers cite you and your competitors, and audits your site for AI crawlers.

How it works

From the customer’s question to a plan to fix it

You define what to measure

Your brand and its other spellings, your domain, up to 50 questions and up to 15 competitors.

Turn on the weekly run

With the weekly option on, each question goes through the APIs, with web search, to Gemini (on credits or with your own key) and to ChatGPT and Claude, each with its own key.

The module reads the answers

Whether your brand is cited, its position among the names, competitors and the sources the AI used.

You fix and track

The audit points out what to adjust on your site and the third-party sources worth getting mentioned in.

Features

AI mention monitor: measure, fix and measure again

No one controls what an assistant answers. You can measure it methodically, understand where the AI gets its answer and improve what’s within your reach. This module focuses on measuring the results.

Weekly mention monitor

The questions are the ones your customers would type, not your brand name. That’s how you find out whether the AI remembers you without being prompted.

Questions with web search

Through the APIs, Gemini answers with Google Search, and ChatGPT and Claude with their own web search. The answer uses current pages, just like when a customer searches.

Mention and position

Your brand is found even without accents or under another spelling you registered, and the module notes its position among the names cited.

History by run

With the weekly run on, every week is saved. You can see whether a change to your site or a new mention made a difference in the weeks that followed.

Competitors and cited sources

Knowing your brand doesn’t show up is half the job. The other half is knowing who shows up instead, and why.

Share of voice by assistant

Your brand’s slice of citations against up to 15 competitors, split by ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude, because each one answers differently.

Classified sources

The pages the AI used in its answer are sorted into your own, competitors’ and third parties’, such as portals, guides and review sites.

Where to get mentioned

The third-party sources that show up most become a practical list of places where it pays to be well described.

Site audit for AI crawlers

If the crawler can’t read your site, the AI has nothing to cite. The audit checks the technical basics that often go unnoticed.

Crawler access

AI search crawlers allowed in robots.txt, Google-Extended, pages without noindex and main text present in the HTML.

Structured data

Organization and product schema, sameAs with your official profiles and the pages’ last-updated date.

Title, description and llms.txt

The title and description of each page, and the llms.txt file, a summary of the site meant for AI assistants.

Example

Example: an aesthetics clinic in Campinas, Brazil

A fictional clinic, with illustrative questions and results. It shows how to read a run and what to do with it.

Illustration · fictional data

  1. 1For "best aesthetics clinic in Campinas", the brand shows up in ChatGPT and Claude, but not in Gemini. The first question: are the business’s Google profile and reviews complete?
  2. 2For "laser hair removal", only Gemini cites the clinic. Does the site have a clear page about that service, with a reference price and the area served? Without it, the other assistants have nothing to work with.
  3. 3On the informational question about peels, no brand shows up and the source is a third-party portal. Useful, signed content on the site, with sources, is the way to become a reference on the topic.
  4. 4After the changes, the next week’s run shows what changed. Without measurement, fixes are just guesswork.

AI recommends, WhatsApp closes

People who arrive through an assistant’s recommendation already have intent. What’s missing is a reply right away.

A WhatsApp button across your site

Someone who read the recommendation and landed on your site finds WhatsApp right there, with no long form.

An AI agent that qualifies

The AI SDR agent replies in seconds, asks the qualifying questions and books a call with your team.

Source recorded in the pipeline

The contact enters the WhatsApp CRM with a tag and a stage, so you know how much revenue AI visibility brought in.

Platform rules

What Google, OpenAI and Anthropic say about appearing in AI answers

There is no paid shortcut or secret formula for getting cited. These are the public rules that apply today.

Google: indexing and Search Console

To appear in Search’s generative AI features, a page must be indexed and eligible to show with a snippet, and the site must be included in "Search generative AI features" in Search Console. These answers may use query fan-out, several related searches on the topic. Google’s guide to generative AI.

Google-Extended doesn’t affect Search

The Google-Extended token controls whether content is used to train Gemini models, and it doesn’t affect inclusion or ranking in Google Search. Google’s common crawlers.

ChatGPT: OAI-SearchBot

OpenAI separates its search crawler (OAI-SearchBot) from its training crawler (GPTBot). Blocking the first one removes your site from ChatGPT’s search results. OpenAI’s crawlers.

Claude: Claude-SearchBot

Anthropic also separates its crawlers. Blocking Claude-SearchBot can reduce your site’s visibility in searches run by Claude. Anthropic’s crawlers.

Content at scale is spam

Generating lots of AI pages that add no value can violate Google’s scaled content abuse policy. Visibility is built with useful pages, not volume. Spam policies.

llms.txt is a proposal

llms.txt is an open proposed standard, not a rule the assistants follow. It helps organize your site, but no vendor commits to using it. llmstxt.org.

No fine print

What the module doesn’t do

So you can decide with the full picture.

  • It can’t promise your brand will be cited. No tool can.
  • Gemini can run on ConverZAP credits; ChatGPT and Claude require each one’s API key, with usage billed by the provider.
  • The run only repeats every week with the weekly option turned on.
  • The API answer may differ from what a customer sees in the app, which takes into account their history, location and the model on their plan. The module’s own screen points this out.
  • It doesn’t directly measure AI Overviews in Google Search. For Google, the work is the same as SEO.
  • It doesn’t change your site on its own: the audit points things out, and you or your team make the changes.
  • It doesn’t measure Perplexity, Copilot or any assistant beyond the three listed.

It’s a fit if…

  • You run a clinic, firm or service business that depends on recommendations
  • You’re a B2B or SaaS company whose customers research before reaching out
  • You’re an agency that needs a GEO report for clients
  • You already work on SEO and want to measure AI answers too

Maybe not yet if…

  • You want to pay to appear in ChatGPT: that doesn’t exist in the answers
  • Your site doesn’t have basic service pages yet
  • You want to measure ChatGPT and Claude without adding their keys
  • You need a promised result by a fixed date

AI visibility FAQ

What is GEO, and how is it different from SEO?

GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) is the work of getting your brand into the answers of AI assistants. SEO deals with rankings in traditional search. The foundations overlap: a crawlable site, useful pages and mentions in good sources. GEO adds measurement inside the answers.

Can you make sure my business will appear in ChatGPT?

No. No one can promise a citation, and there’s no paid option to get into the answers. The module measures methodically every week and shows what’s within your reach: your site, your service pages and the third-party sources the AI consults.

Which assistants does the module measure?

ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude, through their APIs with web search turned on, not through the apps. Gemini can run on ConverZAP credits; ChatGPT and Claude require each one’s API key, with usage billed by the provider.

Is the measured answer the same one my customer sees?

Not always. The module asks through the API, and the customer’s app may take into account their history, location and a different model. That’s why the value is in the week-over-week trend and the comparison with competitors, not in any single answer.

What does the site audit check?

Whether AI search crawlers are allowed in robots.txt, Google-Extended, pages with noindex, main text in the HTML, title and description, organization and product schema, sameAs, last-updated date and the llms.txt file.

What about appearing in Google’s AI Overviews?

Google requires two things: the page must be indexed and eligible to show in Search with a snippet, and the site must be included in “Search generative AI features” in Search Console. Beyond that, SEO best practices apply. The module doesn’t measure Google directly, but the audit covers the technical side, which also helps in search. Source: Google Search Central.

Do I need WhatsApp connected to use it?

No. The module works without WhatsApp. It’s included in the Complete plan and in the 7-day free trial. Connecting WhatsApp makes sense when you want the AI agent to serve the people who arrive through a recommendation.
