To connect ConverZAP to Zapier, create a public API key under Settings → Public API, start a Zap in Zapier, pick the ConverZAP app and paste the key when you connect your account. From there, ConverZAP’s triggers and actions let you link WhatsApp, contacts and your pipeline to other apps on Zapier. The ConverZAP app is listed in the Zapier app directory with a Beta badge. For an overview, see the ConverZAP × Zapier integration page.

Before you start

  1. A plan that includes the public API: Sales (R$ 497/month), Complete (R$ 997/month) or Enterprise. The Essential plan doesn’t include the API. Compare plans.
  2. During the 7-day free trial, the key is read-only: triggers and searches work, but actions that write to ConverZAP, such as creating a contact or sending a message, don’t.
  3. A Zapier account. Zapier bills its own usage under the plan your business has with Zapier.
  4. For WhatsApp actions, a number connected to ConverZAP. If you don’t have one yet, follow the guide to connect WhatsApp through the official API.

Step 1: create the key in ConverZAP

  1. In ConverZAP, go to Settings → Public API.
  2. Click the button to create a key and give it a name that identifies the integration, such as “Zapier”.
  3. Select only the scopes the Zap will use: read scopes for triggers and searches, write scopes for actions (contacts, conversations and messages, pipeline or automations, as needed).
  4. Create the key and copy the value, which starts with czk_live_. ConverZAP shows the key only once, so store it somewhere safe, like a password manager.

Step 2: connect in Zapier

  1. In Zapier, click “Create Zap”.
  2. For the trigger or the action, search for and select the ConverZAP app.
  3. Choose the event, for example New Contact as a trigger or Send WhatsApp Template as an action.
  4. When you connect your account (“Sign in”), paste the public API key and confirm.
  5. Fill in the step’s fields and use “Test” to check the result with real data.
  6. Review the Zap and click “Publish” to turn it on.

You can reuse the connected account in other Zaps. Still, the best practice is one key per integration: if you ever need to revoke one, the others keep working.

Triggers, actions and searches

The app’s page on Zapier shows ready-made templates with the trigger and action already set:

Limits and best practices

Troubleshooting

Invalid or revoked key

If the key was only partly copied or has been revoked, Zapier can’t connect the account. Create a new key under Public API and reconnect the account in Zapier with it.

Missing scope

The connection works, but a step is rejected for lack of permission. Create a key that includes the scope for that trigger or action and switch the connected account in the Zap.

Write action during the free trial

During the trial, the key is read-only. Triggers and searches work; actions like creating a contact, sending a message or moving a deal don’t. To use them, subscribe to the Sales, Complete or Enterprise plan.

Text message outside the 24-hour window

Send WhatsApp Text won’t go out if the contact hasn’t written in the last 24 hours. Switch the action to Send WhatsApp Template and pick an approved template.

Tip: if you use n8n, you can connect ConverZAP through the community node n8n-nodes-converzap with the same public API key. A Make app is coming soon.
